Mairin O'Steen

Mairin is a proud graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law.

My Story

Mairin received her B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Before joining Barnes Law Group, Mairin worked for Family Rescue, the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian, the Self-Help Center at the Circuit Court of Cook County, and the Cook County Bureau of Technology.  She has also volunteered with multiple organizations, including the American Red Cross and Equality Illinois.  While attending law school, Mairin received the Dean’s Distinguished Public Service Award and the Diversity Matters Award.  She was also active in student organizations and was an officer in the American Constitutional Society, the Kent Justice Foundation, Lambdas, the Law Firm Management Society, and the Tax Law Society.

Mairin moved to Las Vegas from Chicago.  Prior to moving to Chicago, she grew up in Oklahoma and Georgia.  Her experience around the country has exposed her to many different cultures and family structures.  Mairin has experience with children, through her former work in disaster relief and as a religious education teacher.
