An Indiana native, Amanda attended Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana, where she studied Liberal Studies while minoring in both Early Childhood Education and Missions. As an undergraduate, she went on two separate mission trips to Kechene, Ethopia, Africa. During her time there, she fell in love with the country, the people, and a four-year-old girl who she has sponsored for seven years and counting. Amanda graduated college in May 0f 2015 and accepted a teaching position in the Early Childhood Education field. During her four years as a teacher, she had first-hand experience with a wide variety of children and families. Her experiences in Africa and as a teacher strengthened her innate passion for justice and instilled her with an even stronger desire to protect and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Amanda’s five-year plan is to pursue a deep knowledge of the law through law school and her work at Barnes Law Group.
